How We Can Help

Northwest Reading Clinic specializes in diagnosing and treating difficulties with comprehension, reading and spelling, including dyslexia. We also develop visual memory for letters, sight word recognition, vocabulary, writing, math, and study skills. We work with students aged five through adult and have offices in both Tigard, OR and Vancouver, WA.

Diagnostic Testing

The purpose of our standardized academic testing is to accurately define the student's strengths and weaknesses, and to identify any factors contributing to problems in the student's learning environment. Does your student struggle with reading? Do they have trouble explaining or understanding what they've read? Let's find out how we can help making learning easier.

Daily Instruction

Following a complete diagnostic evaluation, students attend daily sessions for one-on-one treatment with experienced, well-trained clinicians. Treatment plans are created specifically for each student using a variety of programs, and are individualized to his or her needs.

If you'd like to help us spread love this holiday season we have collection bins for toys and supplies at both our Tigard and Vancouver locations!

In-person? Online?
We can do that.

Which format works best for your family?

For students who struggle with reading and learning, school may prove overwhelming due to recent inconsistencies  in education and other pandemic-related academic hurdles. We are here to help!

We currently offer treatment both in-person AND online. In either format, we provide one-on-one instruction using specialized methods that provide direct instruction in the necessary building blocks for reading, spelling, and comprehension.

We are also able to provide help with schoolwork and writing for students who need extra guidance. Please contact us in the Tigard office if you would like to take advantage of our services.

We're participating in TWO supply drives to support our local families:

KGW Great Toy Drive

Bring in a new, unwrapped toy to help a less fortunate child in Oregon or SW Washington. The KGW Great Toy Drive takes place now through December 15th. The goal is to collect toys which are then distributed locally with the help of more than 130 local nonprofit organizations.
